Bioinformatics
A number of software applications used in bioinformatics research are maintained on the RCC computing hardware, and are supported by the RCC's consulting staff. These include commercial, public-domain, and home-grown applications which cover a diverse array of computational methods. Moreover, all of the major genetic sequence databases (e.g., GenBank, EMBL, SwissProt, etc.) are mirrored on the RCC disk farms for local access.
