Hosting Costs

The RCC can host research computer equipment associated with specific departmental, user or group projects. Hosting means that the equipment would be physically located in the RCC and would be installed, connected to network resources and set-up for initial use. Hosted equipment also needs to be maintained with software and security updates. Depending upon the equipment hosted, either the RCC or CITP can provide the necessary maintenance. There are costs associated with maintaining hosted equipment that should be built into your initial equipment request. Jerry NeSmith can provide estimates of the costs and help with the required text for grant preparation.
