Linux Cluster (rcluster)
The Linux cluster (rcluster) is comprised of compute nodes with single-, dual-, and quad-core processors from both Intel and AMD. The current collection of nodes were contributed by the Institute of Bioinformatics (IOB), the Statistics Department, and the RCC, and include the following resources:
- 120 dual-processor single-core nodes, AMD Opteron, 2GB RAM/core (IOB).
- 24 dual-processor dual-core nodes, AMD Opteron, 2GB RAM/core (RCC).
- 15 dual-processor dual-core nodes, AMD Opteron, 2GB RAM/core (Statistics).
- 44 dual-processor quad-core nodes, Intel Xeon, 2GB RAM/core (IOB, Biofuel project).
- 128 dual-processor quad-core nodes, Intel Xeon, 2GB RAM/core (IOB, NSF/MRI grant).
The cluster uses Platform LSF queueing system software.
