High Performance Computing: Linux Cluster
Linux Cluster (rcluster)

The Linux Cluster (rcluster) is comprised of 120 AMD dual
processor single core Opteron nodes, each with 4GB of RAM. The
Institute of Bioinformatics (IOB) contributed these nodes, and they are
primarily allocated to IOB members, but are also available for general
use when idle. There are 39 AMD dual processor dual core Opteron
nodes, each with 8GB of RAM. Of these 39 nodes, 15 were contributed by the Statistics Department and are primarily allocated to members of that department, and 24 were provided by the RCC and available to all
RCC users. This cluster uses Platform LSF queueing system
software. It is primarily used to run Bioinformatics applications that
require the Linux operating system.
